ISP/Carrier Targeting

      As the service provider of connecting to internet and making calls are gradually being the same one, and the old ISP/Carrier library is out of date, we merged ISP and Carrier targeting into ISP/Carrier.
      The new ISP/Carrier is more closer to ISP level.
      Campaigns that targeted all will not be influenced, campaigns who did specific targeting will all be invalid, you need to redo targeting.

How to do ISP/Carrier targeting?
STEP 1:Click"Create New Campaign" or Edit existing campaign ->then go to "Targeting"
STEP 2: Select a country/countries first(mandatory)
STEP 3: Search ISP/Carrier name in the column starting with 2 or more characters to get close to ISP/Carriers you want to target
  • If you want to target big companies such as Orange, please select all orange-related names in order to maximize your targeting traffic.
    • Attention, we don't ensure the listed ISPs cover all actual ISP that belongs to the carrier you're searching if their name don't have same words with each other.
    • For example, if you are searching Orange, we only ensure displaying XX Orange XX, if ABC also belongs to Orange, we don't ensure ABC will exist in the drop-down list.
  • ISP names in the drop down list cover all same name in different country you selected.
    •  For example, if you are searching "Orange" after selecting countries as United States, United Kingdom and France, this "Orange" includes Orange(United States),Orange (United Kingdom) and Orange(France)
  • ISP/Carrier will no longer display in the drop down list after selecting it.
    • Hence, you can select all ISP/Carriers one by one in the drop down list until nothing but "unknown" left to ensure all related ISP/Carriers have been covered

Changes on your previous targeting 

    
From the moment we update our new ISP/Carrier system, all your targeted ISP/Carriers in the past disappear in Campaign editing.
Neither you can see what you have chosen, nor you can see old ISP or Carriers in the searching drop-down list in Campaign editing.
In the other way, you can not target old ISP or Carrier.
Campaigns that targeted all will not be influenced, campaigns who did specific targeting will all be invalid, you need to redo targeting.

Target the ISP/Carrier you need 
 There are 3 ways:    
     1.reselect ISP/Carrier and save campaign (click "Update")      
     2.clone the old campaign to choose ISP/Carrier
     3.create a new campaign to redo targeting

Changes in your dimensional report and conversion report Dimensional Report 
    
Dimensional Report
There are now two dimensions: Carrier(old) and ISP/Carrier
  • Carrier(old): here you can check the reporting data for Carriers you targeted before
    • This dimension will be removed after 30 days (on 16th, December)
    • Include/Exclude option only can be removed, error information will display when you try to add include/exclude
    • All old carriers will add (invalid) as suffix (except "unknown") for you to distinguish old and new ones
  • ISP/Carrier
    • This column will be keep for the future
    • Also you can see old ISPs with a (invalid) as suffix (except "unknown"), this is for you to distinguish old and new ones


Conversion Report
  • There's only ISP/Carrier as a new dimension now.
  • Old Carrier names will add (invalid) as suffix(except "unknown") for you to distinguish
  • Include/Exclude option , error information will display when you try to add include/exclude


Changes of ISP/Carrier in Traffic Planning     
  • You can search specific ISP/Carrier here to evaluate traffic quality.

  • In ISP/Carrier we only show top 200s for 1 country, old names will also add (invalid) as suffix (except "unknown")

Feedback and Knowledge Base
